According to “National education reform and development of long-term planning programs”, financial management is guided by specific industry needs and adheres to the three-in-one talent training concept of “knowledge ability, professional ability and learning ability”，creating a Talent Training System with quality courses and featured courses as the core.

The teaching of the Financial Management program is based on enterprises, oriented by the market and uses capital as the tool, implements efficient asset allocation in investment, financing, dividend distribution, daily cash flow management and risk management, in order to achieve the objective of maximizing corporate value. The students are supposed to be able to acquire knowledge independently; be able to solve problems; have a pioneering spirit; be able to accomplish tasks in their own fields and perform similar job duties. The course of Financial Management obtained “high-quality course of Dalian Maritime University” in 2007, “high-quality course of Liaoning Province” in 2009, “national bilingual teaching demonstration course” in 2010, “recourse sharing course of Liaoning Province” in 2012，“brand course of English teaching for overseas students in China ”in 2013.The program has a strong and qualified teaching faculty, first-class level of teaching, and strong influence in port and shipping industry of domestic and abroad.

The courses design of the Financial Management program is based on the global economic development. The core courses are: Introduction to Accounting, Financial Management, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Security Analysis and Investment, Managerial Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, International Financial Management. Intermediate Financial Management, Analysis of Financial Reports，Financial Sharing Theory and Practice, Risk Management and Internal Control.

      The undergraduates majored in Financial Management will be mainly engaged in domestic and foreign enterprises, especially in port and shipping enterprises, financial securities institutions, trust and investment institutions, assets evaluation offices, accounting firms, certified tax agencies and government.

       The program duration is four years, some core courses are taught in English entirely. Bachelor of Management is conferred upon.
